Got an iPhone and not really happy with the stock earphones that came with it? Well fret not, there are a lot of cool earphones in the market. These are my choices. Not necessarily in order.
1. V-Moda Vibe Duo - I own the V-Moda Vibe earphones, the version without the mic and I must say it’s a great set of earphones. The aluminum finish is good. The sound quality is great. My only real complaint about the Vibe is that the wire got stiff. If the Duo is as good as the Vibe and they just added the voice-in functionality, this is a winner for me. Check it out here. Duo will set you back $101.
2. Jawbone - This one looks awesome. A marriage between style and technology. I love the design. The outer part matches the contour of your face while the inside is made of medical grade plastic to provide a comfortable fit. One of the nice features of the Jawbone is that it adjusts the volume automatically relative to the ambient noise. It also blocks out all background interference so you can hear the other party clearer.
The Jawbone costs $119.99 and isn’t really bad for a headset this nice.
3. Apple iPhone Bluetooth Headset - The ultimate in simplicity. True to Apple’s design philosophy the headset design is simple and straight forward. It’s unobtrusive, minimalistic and small. It’s housed in an aluminum casing providing durability. It also auto pairs with the iPhone. Because it was designed specifically for the iPhone, you’re pretty much guaranteed that it will work well.
At $129 dollars it’s the priciest among the three. Then again Apple products do have their premium. Still it’s a great headset. Check it out here.
