AppleInsider has a very exhaustive review of the latest Apple wireless keyboard for iMacs. And gathering from the unboxing, the device lives up to its promises. It’s ultralight (that’s an immediate relief, considering its rather bulky predecessor) and yet rugged, a distinctive advantage offered by its sleek aluminium construction. Typing itself could be a lot less stressful on the fingers due to two reasons. First, the key positioning is pretty intuitive. Second, the typing angle is optimized cleverly by placing the battery compartment at the top of the keyboard so that the board is raised at the required angle. The bluetooth range is also at a limit of 20 ft (in the test environment), which is a comfortable range for normal usage. The final verdict? An “incredible” 5/5 in spite of a few would-be-nice-to-have features on their wishlist.
