A part of me is pissed that some people have gotten their hands on the iPod Touch earlier than Sept 28. A big part of the reason why I’m pissed is that because no one is selling it here yet. So… I can’t get my hands on one. That being said, I’m glad some stores sold it early for the simple reason that the reviews, articles are out early. Here’s some of them.
1. Making Over the iPod Family (Again) - David Pogues’ NYT article. As always it’s a great article. Love how David writes his article. You have to sign-up though. It’s free so you shouldn’t have any excuse.
2. iPod Touch unpacking tour and first look (photos) - From Apple Insider. A great first look at the iPod Touch as well as lots of pictures to go along with the words.
3. Apple iPod touch Review (Verdict: Good In the Face of Greatness) - Gizmodo’s take on the iPod Touch. They say it’s more of an attention grabber than the iPhone. Read their article, browse the pics and maybe you can decide for yourself.
4. Tested: iPhone Screen Better Than the iPod Touch Screen - From Gizmodo again, it appears that through their informal test the iPhone’s screen is better than the iPod Touch. Hmmm… This makes my decision all the more difficult.
5. Apple iPod Touch - From PC Mag this time, a review of the iPod Touch. This review conflicts with Gizmodo’s test. PC Mag says that the iPod Touch’s screen is slightly better than the iPhone.
6. Ten Things You Need To Know About iPod Touch - iLounge puts together 10 things that they think you should know before plunking down good money for an iPod Touch. Be sure to read till the bottom. They have other links related to it as well.
Those are the first few articles I’ve encountered on the iPod Touch. More to come in the next few days. After reading them, I’m really having a hard time deciding what to get.
